Ransom

On Twitter, you find out about a lot of fun writing contests, especially around the holiday season. One really caught my imagination. The rules were that you had to write about a snowman and the last words had to be something like "buried alive". And the whole story had to be told in less than 300 words (I think). Within the day I had my entry all written and sent...but, alas, it turned out the contest was only for Canadians! (I'm not Canadian.) So what does one do with a disqualified entry? Post it on one's website, of course! The story is "Ransom" and you can click here to read it.

Fish! Fish! Fish!

At the mall there was The Paradise Pet Shop. (To read more about magic fish, click here.)

The Story of Gurdel Gurdel

Mother Thippermill started collecting babies quite a long time ago. Before any of you children were ever born, that is for certain. It all began one day when Mother Thippermill heard a baby's shriek while resting in the Town Square. (To read more about a monster who discovers his true inner self, click here.)
